A longtime local institution, the YWCA Greater Austin, incorporated in 1907 in the the State of Texas as the YWCA of the University of Texas. YWCA is one of the oldest women’s organizations in the Greater Austin area, serving over 4500 women, girls, and their families a year.
YWCA has been at the forefront of the most pressing social movements for more than 110 years — from voting rights to civil rights, from immigrant integration to pay equity, from violence prevention to health care reform.

Kaleidoscope Counseling and Assessments focuses on providing high quality, evidence-based mental health treatment to children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. Kaleidoscope was founded on the vision that treatment should be affordable and accessible to those who need it. They offer sliding-scale payment and evening and Saturday appointments. Their services are family-centered, because research shows that treatment involving the whole family is often faster, longer lasting, and more effective. Their therapists have a wide-range of strengths and therapeutic approaches, so that we can tailor treatment to your unique needs. At Kaleidoscope is ready to help you address the challenges you are facing and progress towards the life you desire.

AOMA participates in two community clinics that serve populations in recovery, Austin Recovery Center and Texas Star Recovery. Students can complete the Acudetox Specialist training while attending AOMA to further serve this community. See your advisor for details.
AOMA also hosts Community Wellness Hour every week on Wednesday on AOMA's south campus in room E3 from 12:45 to 1:45pm to promote mental wellness and recovery for those in need from the community.
